I've dropped you a Tweet also, hop...Hi Steve,

I've dropped you a Tweet also, hoping you might be able to be of assistance. My name is Ben and I'm a third year undergraduate at the University of Exeter studying English. I'm currently undergoing the research stage of my dissertation, for which my I am looking into heterosexuality within football, investigating possible historical shifts within the prevalence of masculine language etc.

I was wondering if you would be able to point me in the right direction of any particular texts which may be of use; I'm currently reading 'A Natural', but judging by your reviews, either Gallivan's 'Oi Ref!' or, Carrell's, 'A Matter of Life and Death' might be better suited?

I'm thinking of structuring the essay into two halves, which would look at two different historical moments, now and the 70s / 80s. I'm using 'Escape to Victory' and 'Bend it Like Beckham' as part of my research, so any football films that you think could be helpful would be equally appreciated.

Any knowledge you can impart would be greatly appreciated. I look forwards to hearing from you.

Ben. Ben Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11822747256529944216noreply@blogger.com
